Welcome to the Eastside Handweavers Guild
The Eastside Handweavers Guild was started on the east side of Detroit by a group of weavers who met in the evenings at a local yarn shop in Grosse Pointe Woods around September of 1975. The guild still has one member from that time
The group started meeting in members' homes after the knit shop closed. Since then the group has met in several different spaces and is currently meeting at the St. Clair Shores Adult Education facility at 23055 Masonic, Saint Clair Shores on the Third Monday of the month.

The Eastside Handweavers Guild is a fiber group, despite the handweaver in the name, with programs on beading, knitting, spinning, felting, basketry, jewelry making, papermaking and many other fiber related techniques. We always welcome guests and new members.
